This past weekend, members and invited guests of the National Governors Association convened in Washington, DC for their annual winter meetings. For the third year running, I had the privilege of covering the meetings of the Delta Regional Authority (DRA).
Established in 2000 by Congress, DRA makes strategic investments of federal appropriations into the physical and human infrastructure of Delta communities. Alabama, Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri and Tennessee are all represented.
