Silence and Respect

Arlington National Cemetery serves as a final resting place for those that have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of democracy. Soldiers from every American war lie side-by-side for eternity while thousands upon thousands of visitors pay their respects every day.

As sad as Arlington is, beauty abounds. Its colors, precision, and power blend together to create a picturesque sanctuary of American history.

With fall in full swing, I decided to pay a visit. What I found was both beautiful and heart wrenching.
