Over the summer, Sara and I ventured across the pond, first to her collegiate abroad stomping grounds, and then on to the south of France. While I had never been to either, she played an excellent tour guide through Barcelona – showing me her old apartment, great eats, and some of the most impressive art and architecture installations on earth.
From Barcelona, Sara and I took a train across the Spain / France border to rent a car and drive through Provence, Avignon, Nice, Monaco and a number of towns in between. While the insanely narrow mountain roads took a few years off our lives, the experience was well worth it and highly recommended. Relatively no schedule, with the freedom to bounce around at will gave us all the flexibility we needed to experience this little slice of the world to it’s maximum.
The following photo stream begins in Barcelona, then to Provence, followed by Avignon, St. Tropez, Nice, a step into Monaco, and our trek back to the hotel through France’s World Cup Semi-Final celebrations our final night.
