On the morning of December 1, members of the 501st Legion, a Star Wars costuming organization, gathered on Capitol Hill to recruit support for a Museum of Science Fiction. While the hope for its construction seems to be growing, organizers are struggling to raise funds to establish a preview space, where they will ‘test’ exhibits to gauge interest and gather additional support.
The group posed for pictures with die hard fans and surprised tourists. They went on to film a promotional video that they will use to garner additional support for the museum.
Needless to say, it was quite the sight.
